You're right about that Brandon, it IS funny. Some of it is true. If I wrote something like that I wouldn't leave a clue to my idenity either.
After all, I live in redneck country. Maybe we should call them (us?) westies. More class.
Yep, you guessed it. I have a pickup truck. In fact I already wore one out and I'm 80,000 miles into my second one. This one is a Toyota with the (gasp!) four cylinder engine. But it has 142 horsepower and the only time I ever ran short on power was pulling a trailer load of motorscooters over the Smokey Mountains. I had to come down to third gear to maintain 35 mph. Nobody believes this, but if I leave the trailer at home, keep the load in the bed down to a shovel and a towchain, turn off the air conditioner and keep it under 70, I can get 30 mpg on the interstate.

Pickup don't handle like cars. Well, not modern cars. They handle somewhat like the '46 Ford coupe I had in college. A little weight in the bed helps. One motorscooter for average driving, but you need two motorscooters on the interstate.
Four bags of 15-15-15 works pretty well too. Handling suffers most when you get out of a car, like my Camry which handles like a dream, and get into the pickup.

This Toyota has the long cab and a 124 inch wheelbase which gives it a large turning radius. I can turn it around easily in a ten-acre field provide that there is a high bank around the edge.

Contrary to information in that essay, all pickup drivers don't drink. I've never tasted the stuff, which is good because I have to watch out for people who have.

I've never been stuck in the woods in a pickup, but I did manage to get stuck in a creek bed in a '46 Ford once, but that was a long time ago.

But seriously, they are handy little beasts.

Just for the record, your post was the longest one I have read since I've been messing around on RinkWorks.
How"Why are you looking at my neck?"ard
