Any "Career Opportunity" can have a downside and usually it is relocation. It will work out. Just keep thinking about the big bucks. :-)
I have a friend who has a new job. Career opportunity doesn't fit for him, because he just retired last summer. He has already had a career. He is an engineer and will be working on a big scientific project. They called him in as a consultant and he must have made a good impression. A few days turned into a real job.
I'm thinking of telling him that he doesn't understand what retirement is. Work is not supposted to be included. He likes to ski and has been several times since Jan. 1. So I think I'll tell him that retirement is a time for skiing, hiking, sailing, flying, biking, and all of those other things you couldn't do when you had to work. But it won't do any good. I think his work is recreation to him. Maybe I should just keep my mouth shut. Howard
