New "Career Opportunity"

That's right, the word "job" is OUT and "career opportunity" is IN. No one says "job" anymore. The word "job" describes what I've been doing for the past two years at Burger King. A "career" is what I'll be pursuing in York, Pennsylvania.
I've been back in the job market (apparently *that* term is still "PC") since last October. My company was acquired by another, and they're closing down our operations here. I was told in January that the new company didn't have a position for me, but a week ago on Tuesday they came back and offered me a position that only recently opened up.
After much prayer, research, and careful consideration, we've decided to accept that offer. We will be relocating to York, Pennsylvania, probably by mid-April. They're flying my wife and I out there this weekend for a house-hunting trip, just to get to know the area a little better.
It's a bittersweet time for us. My wife's family is all in New England, so we'll be much, much closer to them. On the other hand, my family is all here, where we live now, and we will miss them sorely. My best friends that I've had since high school, and my wife's friends that she's made since moving here almost six years ago are all here. We'll miss having famous (and wintermute) just 40 minutes down the road from us too. :/
It is nice to know that no matter where we go, the community here will be here. It might take us a while to get re-connected to it, but it's not going to change too drastically in a matter of weeks. And I have no doubt that in moving to Pennsylvania, we'll be open to a whole new world of new RinkMeet opportunity!
