Just about every movie has boom mikes and other things you're not supposed to see in the top portion of the film frame. The projectionist at the theater is supposed to sync up the film to the projector so that area is matted out or hidden from the audience.

This makes sense. I saw OoS at my college, and not only do they have equipment that breaks on a regular basis (I saw one film all the way through my first year, out of many attempts), but they also have about 2 people on campus who know how to run the faulty equipment. :)
