42nd Street

We just returned from Crossville, Tennessee where we saw "42nd Street" at the Cumberland County Playhouse. I think they've got another hit on their hands. This little Broadway musical includes songs like "We're in the Money" and the title song, "42nd Street." There was a lot of toe-tapping on stage and in the audience. It's a fast-paced, singin' an' dancin' play with flashy costumes, a corny story, and lots of laughs. When it ends, you can't believe it's over and then you realize that it's been three hours since the opening curtain.

Many years ago (50 maybe), I saw the movie, and about 15 years ago we saw it on stage in London, so this was the third time around. Might have to do it again someday.
