Hidden Room in GOA: Necessity of Items

I know you're all exhausted with questions regarding the secret room in GOA, but I was woinddering if I need any objects to get there. Say perhaps a rope, or gem stone, or a crystal, or a crate.

i.e. Can my rope and crate in Llagymlyn, pawn all of the items i can pawn, move the boulder from it's resting place, or must I leave some objects in place before I go to the secret room.

i.e. Can finding the secret room be the last thing I do before getting the Rink and fighting the valkyries?
