Have you ever smushed?

We tried Coldstone for the first time the other evening. It is one of those ice cream parlors--new to us here-- where you can choose which ingredients you want smushed into the ice cream.

It was definitely a fun food experience--the Saturday night crowd, the singing servers (they burst into song when you leave a tip), and the tantalizing smell of that cake-batter flavored ice cream. But is not cheap. Boy, is it not cheap. I also found the texture of the ice cream, well, different. It (understandably) has to be softer than what you'd normally expect (somewhere between regular hard-packed ice cream and soft serve)-- and this made it seem sort of...sticky. But not bad enough to keep me from going back or anything :-) What I thought was funny too was that among row after row of all these luscious smush ingredients--candy bars, marshmallows, nuts, and so forth--they included FAT FREE brownies as an option--I guess so you could feel at least a little bit virtuous: "Yes, please, give me the DIET cone with the fat free brownies"
