I get the feeling that the Oracle, the Architect, etc. with all those other programs, are playing this intense psychological game with Neo. The more they bombard him with the concept of fate, the more likely he'll accept that he has no choice. I could see the movies going as such:

Reloaded: You have no choice. You have no choice. You have no choice.

Revolutions: Oh, wait, we DO! (The cycle is BROKEN.)

I was also tipped off rather early on that the Oracle would turn out to be something evil. Probably because in the first movie the Oracle was "blah blah something confusing you don't understand yadda yadda yadda", whereas here she was all "do this do this do this do this". Not to mention that I never trusted her bodyguard dude.
