Shade (http://www.eblong.com/zarf/if.html) is described as "A one-room game set in your apartment." I liked playing this because directionally-impared me didn't have to worry about entering directions and keeping track of where I'd been and where I had left to go. I'm sure there are others like this out there but I haven't come across any. I'm asking here because this doesn't appear to be an easy thing to search for. Thanks in advance. > > 'halia
Hmm...one room games.
"The Weapon" "Lock & Key" "Pick up the Phone Booth and Die" and its vastly improved sequel, "Pick up the Phone booth and Aisle" and "Aisle" itself, of course.
The problem with many one-roomers is that they are usually made as jokes or as artistic experiments. "The Weapon" and "Lock & Key" are the only ones on the list with real puzzles.
Some games with small/linear worlds:
"Photopia" "Jacks or Better to Murder, Aces to Win" "Earth and Sky" and "Another Earth, Another Sky" "Kissing the Buddha's Feet" "The One that Got Away"
Check out Baf's Guide to the IF Archive (http://www.wurb.com/if). All these games can be found there as well as many others. The mini-reviews that come with them usually state something about the game's size.
