Here's why I don't die: because I enjoy my life, regardless of the fact that I don't believe there is any real meaning to it. The pleasure and happiness I experience, subjective though it may be, seems very real and rewarding to me. Since death would deny me this, I choose to continue with my existence.

I do believe in God, and would just like to say that serving him and other people (what God wants people to do according to Christianity) gives me pleasure and happiness also. Death is simply a moment in which that purpose changes slightly, so I dont mind nor look forward to it, and I leave it to God.

For the purposes of this topic you assume God doesnt exist. With that assumption I am simply doing what gives me pleasure and happiness(dont these words mean the same thing?) In fact, doesn't everyone, no matter what their subjective purpose is?

I submit that everyone lives to gain pleasure in some form. That is a universal subjective purpose (are there others?), no matter what the objective purpose is, or if it exists.

I have no idea what the point of this was, so Im just going to post this and start more discussion. Im aware its confusing but Im not sure how else to say this, questions are welcomed.

And I am thinking more and more I shouldn't have said religious at all, but should have simply said, "Don't post that this is not worth arguing about because there is one answer and then not explain".

Here I just want to say that I dont recall something like this ever happening. Wouldnt a post simply saying "This is my view, and its not worth arguing about" get baleeted by Sam?
