I came to Rinkworks for the Adventure games about 3 years ago and found the forum and chat a couple of years later. When I arrived, chat was already in full swing and I viewed the forum as a place for observations or happenings that would be interesting and thought-provoking for numerous people. Due the fact that I don't see myself as having very many thoughts or experiences that would invite conversation, I've never posted to the forum much.

I'm usually only online from work due to the fact that my ISP at home won't let me online late at night when I have time to devote to things other than my house and husband. With AIM and LJ, as others have already mentioned, I can work between posts. They don't take my full attention.

There are rumors that in another month or so, I'll be able to get high-speed internet connection without having to mortgage my house. When this happens, I imagine my home-internet usage will go up. I love chat for the wonderful friends that I've made and for encouraging the aquaintances that could become friends. Were it gone, I would certainly wonder who else out there I may have become friends with had I had the opportunity.
