A few more notes about things musical: probably not a popular opinion around here, but Eminemn winning Best Song RULED. I'm so glad the Academy gave a song that wasn't a crappy ballad an Oscar. Considering that the song from "Chicago" that got nominated kind of sucked, I'm not too broken up about it. Clearly adapted score/song need to be brought back as categories. "8 Mile" at least was a movie about music, with music that was integral to the plot and that was very well done.

"Punch Drunk Love" had the best score all year (and perhaps the best use of music outside of a musical) and wasn't nominated, because that movie got snubbed.

I thought Catherine Zeta Jones did a great job singing despite being awfully pregnant.

P.S. Also regarding Jones' pregnancy: it's amazing what pregnancy did for certain parts of her body. I refer, of course, to her nice, full ears. They were just totally on display, too. Michael Douglas must be awfully secure in his relationship with her!
