I know where you're coming from - I have a simillar fear, but about eyeballs. I can't walk in the woods without fearing branches, and I'd turn my neighboor's pencil away, in class.

I actually wanted (Still want) to be a paramedic, but there's alway a chapter in the first aid book about occular injuries. Most people who would watch me while I read would feel the need to switch to "Fainting and unconsciousness". Not that I've ever actually fainted. (And, of course, the first time I had to give out first aid as a scout leader...)

But anyway. Vaccines. Last time I had to get a shot in High School, one of my class mate was in your situation... I think she actually wrote "AFFRAID OF NEEDLES" on her consent form.

I'm not exactly sure what the nurses did, but she was ok afterward. I do know that she didn't get the same treatment than we did - I mean, she got the same shot, but not in the same room, and they probably didn't go "Ok, on five. One, two, all done! Thank you!".

Basically, what I mean to say, tell the nurse or attendant before. Maybe they can do something to help. Hey, you could get an extra lollipop!

Or you could get the nurse that doesn't speak French, and who'll... Yea.

Remember ; it only last a few seconds, then it's over.

Etienne
