Okay, here goes:

Let us assume there is a generic god. One, and only one. No more, no less. Let us also assume that this god controls absolutely everything. If He doesn't make it happen, it doesn't happen.

I can't imagine such a god controlling *this* universe. Would there be atheists? Would there be agnostics? Would there be polytheists? Would there be those who worship another god to the exclusion of him? And, to bring it even closer, would there be those who worship him, but say his rules are not for anybody, or at least not for them? Would there be those you believe his rules are for them, but who misinterpret what he wants?

I don't believe so, to any of those. Everyone would believe in him; they'd have to. And everyone would do what he wants, to the minutest part of a letter.

As it stands, we have all kinds of beliefs about god(s). They do exist, they don't exist, there's only one, there's two, there's three, there's more, it's impossible to know; he's always been, it's not the same one as 2000 years ago; none of them are the same, some of them are the same, all of them are the same. That's just a few of the beliefs *about* gods, and I haven't even gotten into what people believe they should do, shouldn't do, and may do.

What do you (general) think of this?
