The Sword Bearer and Gaal the Conquerer, I think... although we lost the last one and they're out of print, which is sad.... and at the end, he makes a reference to another one he's going to write.... but he still hasn't arg. but, yeah, i really liked those books.

The characters are all animals, so it has a passing resemblance to Watership_Down or Animal_Farm, but with a different style. Both books are quite poignant, and Wangerin has a degree of insight into the human heart (these animals are very "human") that makes for very satisfying reading. He's also written books of essays / short stories / parables, among which I recommend _Ragman_ especially.

well, i THINK they're out of print, although i'm not sure... we lost our copy of gaal the conqueror, and we've never found another, and i think that's why.... yeah, the third and fourth are about lisa wesley and kurt's uncle john's experiences in anthropos, or however you spell it, they're good... it explains the bringing about of a lot of stuff which shows up in the first two. Gaal the conqueror, if i remember correctly, was always my favorite. and i'll have to find those two books, i need some good stuff to read.
