> > Have you guys heard about the people who have been killed at Amusment parks here in the U.S. lately? It's wild. I included a link below that tells of the most recent death. The wild thing is that I live near Paramount's King's Island, and I think I mentioned that I went to it sometime in the last two weeks. Well, the time I went, I rode the Drop Zone for the second time. This is one of the rides they are having to close because of the deaths. Can you believe that? I guess I'm just writing this to remind you (and myself) to remember that we are all lucky to be here and to remember that death may only be a step a way. Sorry if that sounds a little morbid for the morning, but I wanted to get that off my chest.

> The last time I went to King's Island, there were three deaths. One lady fell out of one of the rollar coasters after she neglected to put on her seat-belt. The second death was after a guy fell into the fish pond and was electrocuted, and the third came when a worker at the park tried to rescue the guy in the pond. I was there for my twelfth birthday, and all I remember is that they had to cancel the fireworks show because there were emergency helecopters flying in and out of the park. After that, I think we started going to Six Flags. (We lived in Indiana at the time, so it was about an equal distance either direction; St. Louis or Cincinnati)

I think the basic idea of amusement parks is that you should amuse yourself, not acting stupid. Why am i so "cru" ?(probably not an english word, but thats the best word i can think of (its french, and well-known in our language))
Well, lately there has been some severe accidents in our amusement parks too, one was heavily injured and died a few days later, after being in a coma. The cause of the accident, was that he ignored the orders given by the crew of the park, and did his own will.
If we all would act more savely and just have fun in an entertainment park, do what the prescriptions say, and nothing less than that, maybe those parks would have less accidents. Of course i have to admit not all the accidents are the visitors fault, it can be the fault of the crew, because of failure of the attraction, ignorance of the crew ... Then they are responsible! But i'm sure that a lot of the accidents happen because of the stupidity or lack of caution by the visitor!
