Quite the contrary. Having grown up on classic movies ("The Road to Morocco", "Holiday Inn", and "Singin' In The Rain" are the first movies I remember seeing), I'm fascinated by the 1930s to the '50s, and I like learning all I can about what life was like back then. And of all the descriptions I've read about it, yours are among the most interesting. :^)
