If I may mention another beautiful bit of Bond silence...the pre-credit sequence in Moonraker (which, BTW, I saw for the first time yesterday). I especially like how you can hear the wind blowing and flapping all around them, almost claustrophobically, and after watching them struggle for the parachute for a few seconds you have to look away and catch your breath (well, at least *I* had too...). Of course, I've always liked the silence, actiony parts in Bond films, because that means Bond isn't *talking* (and when he talks, he makes stupid puns that usually involve women stripping). BTW Dave, I don't believe there's a "He did it again, that rascal" theme in the Moonraker pre-credits either....

On the other end of the spectrum is the bit where Jaws meets Dolly and they play 'romantical' music VERY VERY LOUDLY. It was a bit amusing, yes, since Jaws has always been a bit of a comical character (well, at least to *me* he has been...), but it was also a bit obnixious. It's like the Powers That Be are shouting "You see? You get it? THEY LELL IN FOVE*!!" And I don't like being told what is happening so obviously in *any* movie.

Qua "*Ask LaZorra to explain that reference to you sometime. ;^)" rtz
