You know, with the rope bridge that's fallen down? You
appear to have found the cave, and the chasm's not far
from there at all. Haven't played FQ1 in a while, but I know
the chasm's not too hard to find. (Not compared to SOME
things in the game, that's for sure.)

The Chasm won't show up unless you've beaten the ogre in
front of the cave. If you've gotten the sword, you can beat
him, if not explore the cave thoroughly. Once you beat him,
crossing jumoing into or examinign the chasm should be one
of your choices now. to get across, you'll need an arrow,
rope, nails, and a hammer.
