I don't think I can comment on that; Jennifer Connelly is one of a select group of actors who I automatically think well of because I associate them with happy film/tv experiences.
(I think the moment she appeared on the screen in _Dark City_ was the moment I decided I was going to like it.)

I have female friends who consider David Bowie's pants to be one of the film's best features. :o)




Points in favour of _Labyrinth_, though:

* It's a Jim Henson film
* Visual design by Brian Froud, one of the best goblin artists in the business
* The worm
* I first saw it at a young and impressionable age
* I've invested too much thought into trying to work out what it all means to admit I've wasted my time :o)
