"Look at my copious cheek pockets!" would be a pick-up line of choice, spoken, of course, while flexing muscles and shimmying around the room in a mating dance.

I like it that way because we get to know personalities, not appearences. A long time ago, I learned to (sort of) ignore gender. As a male teacher in an elementary school, almost all of my co-workers were women. It wasn't unusual for me to be in a meeting with a hundred teachers, and guess who was the only male! After a while, I hardly noticed. The funny thing about it is that my wife worked in a national lab with wall-to-wall engineers. Nearly all of them were men. It wasn't a problem with her either.

Here's something i thought about yesterday when i drove home.....

I agree at most of you that gender is no matter here in this forum, we're just sharing thoughts, thats all....
But of course, i think its a normal reaction, when you 'see' people a lot here, you start building an image of them, and then its normal that the gender is part of that image, just to put everything right....

For the rest, i dont care about the gender here on the internet.
You know what sickens me? THere was a time that i visited a chatbox nearly every day. I knew there a lot of people (male and female, at least thats what they claim, cos you never know the truth).
But i became really annoyed by the people who entered a room and the first thing they said, was something like "ANY SEXY LADY WANNA CHAT? PM ME!" (pm standing for private message) or quotes in the same category (also by women!)
Such conversations were the main reasons i quit visiting chatboxes.
All i wanna do here on the internet, is converse, share thoughts, give witty remarks (at least thats what i try), try to express a little intelligence from time to time and just have fun, without the whole flirting or s*xual stuff included...
