A few years ago, I flew from Las Vegas to LAX at night. The plane came in low over Cajon Pass and then passed over the whole length of the LA basin from east to west. I could see Ontario, Upland, Pasadena and Los Angles spread out like a carpet of light. (Sounds corny, but that's how it looked.) It was beautiful. Some parts of it look pretty good from the ground. Heck, I like LA. It's a city that has everything.
