Comparing owners to their boats? If I follow your analogy to its natural conclusion, this means I'm old enough to be falling apart but not old enough to be considered a "classic"; I'd look much better with a bit of paint but I don't have enough time to bother; and there isn't a whole lot of demand for that year's model unless all of the original features have been modified at great expense.
