Y'know what they say, "you are what you ride!" ...or something like that. :-) Actually, my *computer* is a pretty good reflection of me (this works with all nerds, I suspect): Mine's a funky lime-green iMac loaded with MP3s and school essays. Its fast internal hard drive is called Mr. T, and its slow external hard drive is called Optimus Prime. It has lots of memory, but none of it ever really comes in handy. It rarely ever crashes, but when it's asleep it has a very difficult time waking up again. My mousepad is a picture of the Tazmanian Devil tearing apart an office. I do lots of geeky stuff with my computer, and sometimes my computer does geeky stuff to me. We're a match made in heaven. So is that a good thing or a bad thing?!? :-)

> Boy o boy, did this thread ever take a nasty turn. Next thing you know people will be comparing riders with their scooters(or other vehicles). In my case, antiquated, worn out, obsolete, out-of-date, impractical, slow, old-fashioned, noisy, smelly, in need of repair, neighborhood nuisance, stubborn, greasy,. . . . Oh, the pain! > Howard > > > > > I just found out today that my boss used to be a yacht captain. Isn't that cool? I never would have guessed. If I follow your analogy to its natural conclusion, this means I'm old enough to be falling apart but not old enough to be considered a "classic"; I'd look much better with a bit of paint but I don't have enough time to bother; and there isn't a whole lot of demand for that year's model unless all of the original features have been modified at great expense. > > > > Brunnen-"how depressingly accurate"G
