Another thing you have to remmeber is that "Protestants" actually pre-dated the Roman Catholic church, which was started by Constantine during the fourth century. Really, the term "Protestant" only exists because Catholicism squelched all other forms of Christianity during the Dark Ages, until Luther came along with the Reformation which spawned large groups who "protested" the way the Catholic church did things.

I would be considered a Protestant today, which is really weird to me considering I was never part of the Catholic church and didn't have to "Protest" my way out of it.
