The teachers are just as bad as the students. Heck, we're probably worse. When I was teaching, summer started when the final report card went out and the kids spilled out the door for the last time.
But now, it begins when the garden goes out. So summer is old stuff now. The potatos have little spuds under them. We are eating spinish salad. The birds completely cleaned the cherry trees. (I didn't get a single cherry, but the birds are happy.) The beans and corn are tall enough for that first tilling and except for a few tomato plants, everything is planted.
Spring begins with the Southeastern Cushman Club spring meet and fall begins with the fall meet. Winter begins in August when the Christmas stuff goes on display. Yep. I think I have the seasons all figured out. Howard
