I was just recently given a toaster for the very first time. In all my 26 years on this wonderful planet I've never owned or lived in a house with a toaster. I've become quite fond of my little bread warming friend but there is one thing that disturbs me. Why is there always a setting on toasters that burns the bread to a horrible crisp that no decent human being would ever eat? Would anyone care to share an idea?
