I thought I was lost once, but I wasn't, but I found later that I *was*.
See, I was driving way far north to go visit a friend, and had asked my dad directions. He said I ought to take Green Tree Road to get to the Parkway, and from the Parkway to I-79. Green Tree road actually goes over the Parkway, and there is an exit to northbound I-279 (the Parkway) and after crossing over the Parkway, there is an exit to southbound 279. Now, my dad told me to take the southbound exit (even though I was going north), but when I approached the overpass, I and tried to remember his directions, I thought I'd heard him say "northbound."
So I wind up taking 279 North through the City of Pittsburgh, as opposed to 279 South which goes a couple miles before there's an exit to 79 north. After driving through the city for a few minutes, I realized I was on the wrong freaking road. To compound matters, there weren't any signs telling me what road I was on, so I just had to guess and hope I was still on 279 North, because I figured that it would sooner or later hit 79 (since 279 is a spur of 79). Eventually, it did, much to my pleasure. And I didn't fully realize until later that I had taken north instead of south.
Coming back was interesting. But this was a different time. Not the same day. I ended up passing my exit off of 79 South and had to turn around at some other exit. OK, so it wasn't THAT interesting.
