Gotta steal the thread for a moment. :) I like The Hiding Place too, moreso because I have very close experience with the ACTUAL Hiding Place. As some of you know, I lived in the Netherlands for five years when I was younger. During that time, my mom became a volunteer guide at the Corrie ten Boom House in Haarlem. It's the original home of the ten Boom family, where the Hiding Place is. It's been completely restored now, and you can take tours there...

I can't count the afternoons I spent hanging around in the BeJe (nickname for the house), running around up and down the narrow stairs between my mom's tours. The Hiding Place itself always gave me intense claustrophobia, though.

It's a very cool place, and part of a VERY cool story. The ten Boom family was made up of absolutely amazing men and women of God. A wonderful (true) story - if you haven't read the book, you should.
