For me, it exemplified that life is like a box of chocolates (you never know what you're gonna get) when I saw the link in a MathCad mailing list. Actually, the link was to the Dialectizer... > > But naahhh! I don't think I will. It's probably not interesting, and it will only contribute unnecessarily to the flood of poststststs.
Y'know, I was thinking about posting the same question but never got around to it. I recieved an email long ago from a relative or friend or somebody my parents knew from California. It had something sarcastic, like 'Think there's nothing good on the web? Well, then go to' and it had the adderss to the Dialactizer. I tried it out one day, a bit after I'd gotten the message, and thought it was pretty neat, although in my sheltered world I'd never heard of some languages. ['Jive? Cockney? Swedish chef? Why is a chef different?'] It took me a while to get into the humor mode, and I eventually figured it out. Well, mostly. Anywhoo, I eventually was bored once more [me? never!] while online and I looked at my recently visited addresses. I deleted all the stuff before the dot com and, lo and behold!, I discovered Rinkworks. At least, I think that's how it happened... I might have just clicked on the 'visit our other sites' link... I don't rightly remember.... Well, I pretty much stuck to the humor sites, but eventually I had read them all and didn't realize they were ever updated. As a last resort to fend off summer boredom, I went to the text. I'd never looked it over before. I'm not much of a web afficianodo, and had never heard of a message forum. I thought 'converse with other readers' meant it was a chat room. Well, suffice it to say I was _pleasantly_ surprised! :-}
Oh, and thank you all for your support... I am recovering. I didn't think a small comment like that could make you all so sympathetic. [sniff]
I really do appreciate your concern. Coming here and laughing out loud seems to work wonders on my immune system.
Ch"just had to delete a lot of numbers 'cause the cat walked across the keyboard"ris
PS: While I've been coming here, I keep the dictionary handy-- and use it often-- but I can't find 'gnilleps.' Is that, like, some kind of a sound or slang?
