Here are 2 really weird chemistry/engineering acronyms that I came across whilst looking through some articles on "green" chemistry.

BATNEEC - Best Available Technology, Not Entailing Excess Cost.

CATNIP - Cheapest Available Technology, Not Incurring Prosecution.

Some people have too much time on their hands.
