Another thing, though. Why do people go to such extravagant measures? If I were asked to prom by anyone (and, of course, if I accepted), I'd not expect to be picked up in a limo. I'd also not want to be expected to buy a $400 dress. I don't see the point.

*shrugs* If I ever did go to a dance with someone, I'd show up in a casual dress if not jeans and a tee-shirt. ;)
