Today (or yesterday, really), Beasty, Matthew, Zarniwoop and myself met Gahalia. After much confusion over meeting arrangements (and Matthew getting lost in the Big City), we met up at the church at 10 am. Well a little after, really. But that's not important.

Anyway, we and Gahalia's friend Liz wander up towards the Tower. We cross Tower Bridge. We cross Tower Bridge again, because we're now on the wrong side to meet Liz's internet friends. We met them, and get a bite to eat.

We crossed Tower Bridge a third time to head into London proper, and wandered around a bit. Liz wanted to do some shopping-type things, so we went to Oxford Street, and to Harrods. The Queen Mother died while we were in there, but I'm sure that was just coincidence. Zarniwoop left to go to a football match.

We exchanged traditional sweets, Gahalia giving us some stange things that claimed to be smarties, but weren't even slightly chocolaty. We bought Jaffa cakes and Fruit Pastilles. I think the Americans got the better half of the deal.

Then the Rinkies amongst us went to to see "The Reduced Shakespeare Company". Imagine three Californians performing 37 Shakesperian plays in 97 minutes (less interval), and it being the funniest thing since... erm, jam. Due to the sort of book-a-minute structure, I hereby propose that this be accepted as the official RinkPlay.

Then we met up with Liz and her friends again, and ate pizza. Once we managed to get a table, everything was prompt, and we left a tip. We spoke of many inconsequencial things. Then Matthew went home, because he lives miles away. There was a drunk homeless man in the street who was playing the orange traffic cone, well enought that we could agree on what tunes he was playing (Wonderwall and then Amazing Grace).

Then me, Liz, Gahalia and Beasty went back to the church and played a strange card / word assocciation game. And met some of Gahalia's other friends. And I got a little bit manic. And then we went home.
