I stand corrected, then. At the same time, the misunderstanding may be more telling than the facts. When predicting the Oscars, it's impressions that count, not facts. Why else do the Best Visual Effects and Best Makeup awards consistency go to the most *conspicuous* effects and makeup instead of the *best*?
