It's not some kind of weird reaction. It's called "We really resent you constantly bashing the US for no apparent reason other than you seem to honestly hate the US so whenever you do it we tell you why we think you're being a jerk."
I know if I honestly thought you were just joking, I'd let you get away with it without a nice toasty flame in response. But I don't think you're just joking. I honestly think you have some sort of weird grudge against the US. And that's fine, you can feel any way you want. Just be assured that when you say anything negative about the US that I don't agree with around me, I will flame you.
