Windows 98 and users... (or: Another Technical Question)

I was going to ask this last night, but forgot, so I'm not really jumping on the bandwagon...

I want to set up my PC so I can have multiple users, and they can't see the stuff that I have saved (and I can't see the stuff they have saved). I've set myself up as a user, but at the moment, the documents in User "samhellea", are the same as in the default ("Damworthson"). I want to know, if I delete them out of "Damworthson", will they still be in "samhellea", and if I were to press the close button at the login prompt, would it show all the files, including those in "samhellea", and those in other user's areas? (which I don't want)

The other question I have, is am I asking the computer to do something it's not capable of?/ Do I have a mis-understanding of how the 'users' icon in control panel works?
