Both. However, the more difficult parts of the restoration are left to my son who is an engineer and a craftsman who works in both wood and metal.
Occasionally I find a vintage scooter in such good condition that I keep it original. My Vespa is like that. It is a 1974 90cc model with only 700 miles on it. I have a Benelli with 33 miles, but it needs some cosmetic restoration. Cushmans, which are four-stroke American made scooters, are my favorite. My oldest is 52 years old.

I can understand why bicycles are popular in Denmark. (Not many hills?) But how do people survive on a scooter in the winter?

Bicycles also play a part in my collection. I buy and sell vintage bikes to help finance the scooters.
