We celebdrated Christmas Saturday as we usually do. We went to Dollywood to see the lights. Arrived early afternoon with the temperature about 50 and left early evening after it dropped below 40. No too bad. The lights were beautiful. The only place with more evergreen trees is the National Forest, but those don't have lights.
The main light show at Dollywood is around, and in, a mill pond. There were about a dozen mallard ducks paddling around all during the show. There were flashing lights and music all through the show, but the ducks appeared not to notice. However, minutes before the end, they hurriedly paddled around a corner and out of sight. Then the show ended with loud reports and fireworks. The ducks had seen the show enough to time their exit just right. Howard
