The cool thing about Danish is that it seems to be the closest language to English there is. I looked at a Danish magazine once -- a copy someone there sent to me because it had an old version of the Apogee FAQ in it on an inserted CD -- and certain passages of it were actually readable to me, and I don't know one word of Danish. Certain other passages, probably more than not, were still gibberish, but that *any* of it was so close to English as to be readable was quite something.
