He's coming at this from indie and arthouse roots, not from a long list of Hollywood slasher flicks. (I know someone will draw attention to "Bad Taste" and "Meet the Feebles", but hey. Everyone's got to start somewhere.)

Bad Taste is probably my favourite low-budget alien slasher film of all time. I have it on video somewhere I think. Unless it got taped over with a soap opera. That happens way to often around here.

Heh. Any film with exploding sheep is cool in my book.

As for Meet the Feebles... I'm not quite so sure what to say. It was very funny, in a sick and perverted kind of way.

Hmmm.... You're probably right. I can't think of anyone I'd rather see doing it.
