The upshot of this is that the film version is taken as gospel, and when people eventually get round to reading the book, they'll think it's wrong.

Are you serious?! How could someone read a book that a movie was made FROM and think that the discrepancies are the fault of the book's author? Can people that thick actually read?

Ughh. If there's one thing I loathe more than modern-day Disney cartoons, it's live-action Disney movies.
