I remember these from an old ADnD supplement(athough the first was called the "Ring of Beaurocratic Wizardry" if I recall correctly). Also included were:
* Robe of Useless Items: This is covered in patches that can be removed and turn into such hings as a 20 foot ladder with only 2 rungs, a glass shield and rubber dagger, an instant-kill deathray pistol with no powerpack and so on. Removing the patches also makes the robe cold and draughty.
* Boots of Walking: The wearer of these boots can travel at a normal walking pace.
* Cloak of Inappropriate Camoflage: Adapts itself to an arctic camoflage scheme in jungles, a desert scheme in cities and so on.
* The Invisible Ring: When worn, this ring turns invisible.
