Oh, yes, I certainly walked the length of Bourbon Street. Quite a few times, in fact.

> Don't be surprised at anything you see, and don't take anything too seriously. Bourbon Street is a hoot. I spent a week on Canal Street, half a block from where it intersects with Bourbon and I walked myself silly every evening. The food there is great. Really great. Don't let those old run-down buildings scare you off. There are top notch restaurants in there. Stay off the side streets after dark.

Bourbon Street is one of the best people-watching places ever, unless you don't like seeing quite a few drunk people. The smell leaves much to be desired, but the rest is just one big, fascinating party. We mostly stuck to the main streets, but we found a neat little hole-in-the-wall place down one of the side streets. Yes, we were there long after dark, but I was always with at least a few people, and sometimes as many as nine.

> You might even run across a Las Vegas style casino down that way. There are boat rides to Tangiers, street cars to the Superdome, and lots more that you won't have time to see.

I didn't go into Harrah's casino because I've been to casinos in Reno. Well, and one of the guys with us said he was NOT going in the casino becaue he tends to make bad gambling decisions, especially as the evening progresses. I didn't see Tangiers (although I did go on the swamp tour), but my hotel room overlooked the Superdome, and I'll eventually develop and scan a picture of it. The Superdome holds 92,000 people, and the Superbowl has been held there more times than anywhere else.
