Ooh, my local station used to have one of those shows (ours was called "Teen Challenge"). I *loved* participating in that.

Too bad that the only parting gift my school's team got was a little plastic award stamped with the station's logo. ::sigh::

Also, on the subject of televised competitions, as I've mentioned a few times before on the forum, I participated in the National Spelling Bee some years ago. About the *only* chance I'll ever have of being on ESPN, too, I should add. ;-)
