The closest thing I've ever experienced like that occured at a Pirate game I went to not too long ago. After the bottom of the 7th inning, the PA announcer names three songs, and asks the fans to cheer for the song they want to hear at the next inning break. This time around, the choices were two songs I don't remember, and Bruce Springsteen's "Born In The USA." Naturally, Springsteen won. I remember the crowd singing along to the song, and when it was over, 32,000 people chanting "U-S-A! U-S-A!" for a good five minutes. Probably one of the coolest things I've ever experienced.
