> ...an attack by one man dressed in police uniform on a Swiss council, killing at least fourteen people. What? You heard nothing about that? That's what I am talking about. I haven't seen or heard anything about this attack, which is a huge affair in Switzerland, on any radio or TV channel.
The correspondant implies that this was a terrorist attack, which it most certainly wasn't: The man involved was motivated by the fact that his child support payments were bankrupting him. An extreme response, but I wouls classify him as a mass-murderer, rather than a terrorist.
It was well reported in Britain, by the way.
> You or I may not, but many people in the US do. We fund the IRA, also known as the Irish Republican Army. A group who routinely bombs and kills citizens of Britain both in Ireland and England. The majority of funding does indeed come from the black boxes on the counters of "Police" bars in the US. But nobody does anything about it. That's hypocrisy at it's finest.
Ummm.... In January (one of his first acts as president), Bush declared that the IRA, it's splinter groups and NorAid (which funneled must of their US donations were terrorist organisations, meaning that donating money to them is itself a terrorist act. What exactly does he mean by "nobody does anything about it"?
Though I must confess that I don't know how well enforced this ruling is.

> Can you see the "I messed up and now I have to make up with more 'sophisticated' insults!" trend? Yes, I know, I shouldn't comment about people's grammar. Mine is already pretty horrible - But one of the first thing I do whenever I start posting somewhere is to apologise and inform peoples about my status. This guy posts for the first time, doesn't even capitalize (Sp?) his nick...
You have a problem with that? :P

Well, bad grammar doesn't neccessarily invalidate his point, though it's easy to make the correlation.
In this case, blatant errors of fact, as well as the fact that he retreats into insults as soon as anything remotely threatening is said make it very hard to take his point seriously, which is a shame because underneath all his hyperbole, his point is actually valid.
For example, after Tony Blair promised "war against terrorism", "no compromise with terrorists", and so on he is still making concessions to the IRA in the vague hope that one day they might decide to begin thinking about decommissioning a couple of their weapons. I can only assume he means "war against terrorism, unless they're killing Brits".
