I think most of the illegal immigrants are hard-working and they are more enthusiastic about this country's spirit than most of the natives.

When I worked as a hotel housekeeper here in Colorado, I overheard many US citizens making nasty remarks to the Mexicans about illegal immigration and "why don't you learn the language?"

As for me, their broken english was difficult to understand, but they were trying. I got angry when I was working and heard a coworker say to another maid, "What? WHAT? Speak English!" They WERE speaking English, just not very well.
