It's funny how I'd heard that the half-dollar coin was supposedly in current use in Western Canada; but when I visited there recently, no fifty cent pieces were to be found. Dang. Like, I was SO looking forward to adding to my meager collection of "Rare Coins of North America" [consisting of exactly (1) Centennial penny, (1) American Indian-head half-dollar, and (1) Susan B. Anthony dollar. Okay, laugh all you want.]

Free! Bonus question for an American Rinky-dink: Grishny, where did you hear that the image of the flag flying over the Parliament buildings was an American flag? Just curious.
