My mother took a turn for the worse, and she is undergoing surgery at this time. This means that in the best case, she will lose her right side motor functions. In the worst case, she won't survive the operation.

This is discouraging news, but even if things turn out for the worst, I do not believe those prayers to be in vain. God loves her more than even my father or any of us does, and she will be in good hands no matter how this turns out.
