This picture was used a few times by the GOP in the first Presidential race that Bill Clinton won. The signs point to a town called Prosperity in one direction, and a town named Clinton in the opposite direction.
If they had made the picture in Tennessee,it would be a fake. Clinton is in East Tennessee on I-75 north of Knoxville and Prosperity is in Middle Tennessee on hwy 96 southeast of Nashville, about 150 miles away. I saw the picture in a magazine and laughed. My favorite political statement was a bumber sticker that said, AuH2O64>
Just in case somebody wonders why I captalize Middle and East in the paragraph above, it's a constitutional thing. The Tennessee constitution divides the state into three Grand Divisions; West Tennessee, Middle Tennessee, and East Tennessee. This makes the direction part of the proper noun. I have a tough time not using a capital letter when I refer to eastern Kentucky, but constitutions differ.
